Again it is time to go green! Not because we're jealous of each other, it's because it is the most important national holiday of the Irish. As they say on St Patricks festival home page: As the one national holiday that is celebrated in more countries around the world than any other, St. Patrick’s Day is the day when everyone wants to be Irish ( http://www.stpatricksfestival.ie/index.php/about ).
This weekend Dublin hosts the annual St Patrick's Festival, an event and holiday we in Harrington House have been fully booked for for months already! The streets and pubs will be packed with people extremely cheerful and...green. This is also probably the day one can notice the biggest number of leprechauns hanging around and allowing people see them - it is a well-known fact that if you catch one, it could tell you where his pot of gold is buried (and we all know we could use some gold these days). Although, I'm afraid the leprechauns on Dublin's streets are slightly different...
In Dublin, you can feel there's green in the air already, some early arrivals are getting in the mood, the pubs are getting ready for the biggest celebration of the year (meaning among other things they're probably buying loads of green colour so you could enjoy a green pint!).
So, here is our warmest welcome to all of you arriving to Dublin this week to celebrate with us!
PS, bring green clothes and wear a shamrock for good luck!!
